A&T to engage with scientists and researchers at national US nutrition conference

Alive & Thrive staff and research partners will share a variety of findings and insights at the annual conference of the American Society of Nutrition in Baltimore, Md., June 8-11.

Integrating maternal, infant, and young child nutrition (MIYCN) into existing medical curricula in India, determining paths linking maternal nutrition resources to child growth and early childhood development in Bangladesh, and using modeling to understand individual and community-level determinants of anemia in Ethiopia, are just some of the presentation topics staff and research partners will share. A&T Director Karin Lapping will participate in a discussion on Implementation Science on Monday, June 10. Dr. Sebanti Ghosh, A&T’s India Program Director and Dr. Jessica Escobar-Alegria, A&T Monitoring, Learning and Evaluation Advisor, will present at the conference, which will include a total of seven posters and one oral session.
