Exposure to mass media and interpersonal counseling has additive effects on exclusive breastfeeding and its psychosocial determinants among Vietnamese mothers (Nguyen PH., 2016. Maternal and Child Nutrition)

Combining different behavior change interventions in Vietnam, such as exposure to mass media and interpersonal counseling, change psychosocial factors, including knowledge, intentions, beliefs, and social norms, this study suggests. These changes in psychosocial determinants can positively and additively affect mothers’ exclusive breastfeeding behaviors.
