"It is the forgotten issue of our time, a problem that most people thought had gone away with the Nestlé boycott of the 1970s and 1980s," write the authors of this 2018 report from Save the Children. The report then describes exactly how and why the problem of the marketing of breastmilk substitutes remains as important as ever: "The lives and the health of millions of vulnerable children are at risk from a threat that receives too little attention – the rapid growth of the market for baby milk formula."
