Assessments of mother-child (6–24 mo) dyads in Bangladesh, Vietnam, and Ethiopia determinants of maternal and child dietary diversity and demonstrated agreement and association between the two. Data showed was mother/child agreement for staple foods but disagreement for flesh foods, dairy, fruits, and vegetables; these differences revealed a need to measure both maternal and child dietary diversity in surveys and encourage mothers to feed young children all family foods.
