In Myanmar, about half of all deaths among children under five occur during the first 28 days of life, and the majority of neonatal deaths are from preventable causes.

Grandmothers play an important role as caregivers and as advisers to young mothers on infant feeding. Some have called them “guardians of tradition.” This tradition can at times conflict with new ideas, but need not be a barrier.

This report describes the methodology, results, and recommendations from a stakeholder landscape study that intended to capture a snapshot of nutrition stakeholders in Bihar, India, and to develop an understanding of how they interact with each other to achieve nutrition outcomes.
