This poster is designed to guide healthcare staff at human milk banks on the appropriate conditions for storing donor human milk.

This manual can be used as part of an in-service orientation/training for newly employed or deployed health professionals working in MIYCN. It can also be used to train existing primary healthcare (PHC) workers on essential MIYCN services that can be integrated into PHC services.

This document outlines the technical guidelines for establishing and operating Human Milk Banks in Viet Nam, providing a basis for health facilities providing maternity and newborn services. 

Human milk bank (HMB) services are an essential component of a breastfeeding-friendly health system. HMB services give at-risk infants, such as those born pre-term or low birthweight, access to the multiple benefits of breastmilk when they need it most.

This landscape analysis was commissioned by Alive & Thrive (A&T), an initiative managed by FHI 360, to better understand the current state of evidence around adolescent health and nutrition in Ethiopia.
