This desk review aims to identify critical nutrition problems of adolescent girls in the age groups of 10 to 14 years and 15 to 19 years in Ethiopia and the associated factors based on recent studies.

Adolescence is a critical period of physical and psychological development, especially for girls, because poor nutrition can affect their wellbeing as well as that of their children.

Anemia remains a critical maternal nutrition issue in low- and middle-income countries. Literature search, formative research and baseline surveys, informed the design of interventions to improve adherence to iron and folic acid supplementation in Bangladesh, Burkina Faso, Ethiopia and India.

This study measured the effects of a multipronged 12-month intervention in Kaduna State that targeted complementary feeding (CF) social and behavior change communications to both fathers and mothers, showing improvements in parents’ CF practices and knowledge, as well as fathers’ support for CF.&
