This poster is designed to guide healthcare staff at human milk banks on the appropriate conditions for storing donor human milk.

Intended for use in healthcare facilities providing maternity services and care for newborn infants, this poster outlines 10 key steps to successful breastfeeding.

A breastfeeding promotion intervention in private facilities in Lagos, which included training for healthcare providers, increased the percentage of exclusively breastfed infants but had no impact on early initiation of breastfeeding.  

Breastfeeding and mothers’ milk is presently not counted in food systems or the economy but should be. The Mothers’ Milk Tool will help.

This series of three posters, developed in collaboration with the Ministry of Health of Viet Nam, provides information on kangaroo mother care, proper breastfeeding latch, and breastmilk expression and storage.
