Describes the current status of infant and young child feeding practices in nine districts (woredas) of South Wollo zone in Amhara region. The briefs look at the underlying and the immediate causes of malnutrition in the first 1,000 days of life—conception to 2 years of age—and are intended for use by woreda-level decision-makers (administrators, nutrition officers, health extension officers, agriculture officers and others) in designing health and nutrition programs to benefit their communities.
