Does health worker performance affect clients’ health behaviors? A multilevel analysis from Bangladesh (Epstein, A., 2019. BMC Health Services Research)
In this study, reseearchers found evidence for an association between health worker compliance and client health behaviors; however, small effect sizes suggest that behavior change is multifactorial and affected by factors beyond care quality.

These two infographics summarize Alive & Thrive’s work in Bangladesh from 2009 to 2014. The rigorously evaluated intervention resulted in large scale improvements in exclusive breastfeeding and complementary feeding practices.

Enteric diseases are often caused by poor hygiene and can contribute to stunting. In Bangladesh preparing food, serving food, feeding children, and eating food with bare hands is a common practice, yet most handwashing promotion has focused on fecal contact.
