Workforce nutrition programs are a set of interventions advocated by the Workforce Nutrition Alliance, designed to work through the existing structures of the workplace to address fundamental aspects of nutrition amongst employees or supply chain workers. Ideally, these programs aim to create improved access to - and demand for - safe and nutritious food, change employees’ behaviors around food consumption, and improve their health and wellbeing.

The program's guidebooks provide straightforward steps that organizations can follow to establish effective workforce nutrition programs. There is a dedicated guidebook for each of the workforce nutrition themes: "Healthy Food at Work," "Nutrition Education," "Breastfeeding Support," and "Nutrition Health Checks." Notably, the guidebook on "Breastfeeding Support" was developed in collaboration with Alive & Thrive.
