Alive & Thrive a mené une recherche formative pour mieux comprendre les déterminants, les facilitateurs et les obstacles à l’adoption d’interventions de nutrition maternelle pour les femmes enceintes et leurs nourrissons en Burkina Faso.

Workforce nutrition programs are a set of interventions advocated by the Workforce Nutrition Alliance, designed to work through the existing structures of the workplace to address fundamental aspects of nutrition amongst employees or supply chain workers.

Quality counseling can positively impact maternal, infant and young child nutrition (MIYCN) behaviors linked to poor nutrition outcomes. Global guidance includes 93 recommendations on MIYCN counseling.

Adequate maternal nutrition is essential for maternal and infant health, particularly as a major determinant of pregnancy outcomes.

Anemia remains a critical maternal nutrition issue in low- and middle-income countries. Literature search, formative research and baseline surveys, informed the design of interventions to improve adherence to iron and folic acid supplementation in Bangladesh, Burkina Faso, Ethiopia and India.

With support from the Government of Ireland, Alive & Thrive is working to tackle malnutrition and reach global nutrition targets in the Mekong Sub-Region with a priority on the furthest behind in each context.
